Is it safe to drive a Tesla Model 3?
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS),
the most prominent independent organisation in the United States that examines the crashworthiness of vehicles,
has disclosed the results of its most recent testing on Tesla's Model Y and
confirmed that it achieved the highest safety ratings.
The Model 3 has the lowest injury probability of any car assessed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Model 3 has now obtained the optimal safety rating of 5 stars across all categories and subcategories.
with the Model 3 having the lowest risk of crash-related injury among the more than 900 cars it has analysed.
The IIHS awarded the ES 350 base model either Excellent or Good ratings in all crashworthiness,
crash prevention, and crash-child protection tests, with the exception of a test to avoid frontal accidents with pedestrians.
